Welcome to my post...today I would like to share with you my projects for Scrapbookit and Sketches in Thyme which were both posted online on Thursday.
So grab a cuppa......we could be here for a little while!

SCRAPBOOKIT
The February/March challenge is up and running over at Scrapbookit. Click here to pop on over and check out what has been produced by the girls so far.
I have been lucky enough to work with the Kaisercraft Marigold Collection this month. I will admit that I am not a 'flowery' sort of girl but these papers have been so fun to work with. It made the challenge a breeze.....well, maybe!

The challenge this month at Scrapbookit is to:-
* Use a mask
* Use mist
* Use string or twine
Plus use this gorgeous sketch from Scrapbook Challenges.
Well, I was a touch naughty.....I flipped my sketch over and turned the photo so that it was a landscape photo. I can see a resemblance to the sketch........maybe you will tell me otherwise!

Here is my layout...
I have used the beautiful Kaisercraft Marigold Papers and Sticker sheet embellishments, bakers twine, Silhouette Cameo and Font 'SNF Infinity Bold,' The Crafter's Workshop 6x6 Template - Mini Rustic Paint, Mister Huey's Colour Mists - Dark Calico,  Kaisercraft Wooden Flourish - Ornate Frame.
Such a great little collection of yummy scrappy goodness I say!

Scrapbookit also has a card challenge. For this month's challenge you need to follow the following guidelines...
* Use embossing
* Use rub-ons
* Use a quote
I have enjoyed using the Marigold Collection so much that I made another card....just because I could! Actually I was procrastinating from doing work!
So they are my most recent projects for Scrapbookit. Just before I switch over to Sketches inThyme....If you have kids that love to scrapbook too...make sure they also head on over to Scrapbookit. This month we are trialling something new...
A kids challenge!
Make sure you pop over and check it out.
SKETCHES IN THYME
Over at Sketches in Thyme we have a new 'Double Page' layout.
Here is the sketch....
There is some awesome inspiration from all of the Mavens and as always, we welcome you to join in. You may like to flip, rotate, and adapt the sketch to work for you- as long as we can still see the sketch in there, you're good! If you link up to any of the February sketches, you're entered to be a guest designer with us in April!!

As I have said previously, I am using all of my Sketches in Thyme work to chip away at Brayden's baby album. So I apologise if you are sick of all of the baby photos.
I was so excited to use some paper by 'Little Yellow Bicycle' that I have had stashed away. It is the Baby Saurus collection.
The photos were taken of Brayden when he was only a few days old. It was one of his first experiences in his bouncer. I gathered all of these photos together and made it a 'Many Faces of Our Boy' page.
Here it is...
Not only did I use papers out of my stash I also used embellishments that I have had stashed away for a long time like the little nappy pin and tags.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the cute little stars and two types of Thickers for my title.

Make sure you head over to Sketches in Thyme to check out what the other Mavens have created.....they are amazing! While you are there why not join in!

Well, that is me for today...my blog posts have been very few this year but hopefully I have inspired you to head over to Scrapbookit and Sketches in Thyme to join in the creative fun!
See you there,
By the way if you are a Facebook user I am beginning to create a 'Mels Me Time' page...not a lot there just yet but would love you to pop on over and like my page!
Here is the link....MelsMeTime on Facebook!

Happy Australia Day!
For those of you who are not Australians...today we celebrate our wonderful country! Lots of BBQs, Aussie flags, a few beers and a long weekend.

We have been lucky enough to be away for the last few days. Last night we had dinner on the foreshore.....a gorgeous night it was.
We have spent plenty of time in the pool....it has been hot! And heaps of time relaxing! Just what we needed...
Today I am here to share with you two projects that I have worked on in the last little bit.

Firstly, over at Sketches in Thyme we have launched part 2 of the Sketch #100. A double page sketch. As I said in one of my earlier posts...I have made it my goal to work really hard on my sons baby album using Sketches in Thyme as my inspiration. Here is sketch # 100.
And here is my take on the sketch....
These photos were taken of Brayden and his Aunty and Uncle a short time after he was born.
I have used Kaisercard, Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer Patterned Paper Collection, some Kaiser wooden flourishes and some Thickers. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the letters for 'Oh, how we adore you.'
Do you like my cute little flowers? I cut circles with a decorative edge and then folded them. I placed them around in a circle to create the flower and then held them together with a brad.
Why not pop on over to Sketches in Thyme by clicking here and check the other layouts from the DT Mavens? There is some awesome inspiration!
My second project to share today is a layout that I have done of our Thailand holiday. Liz (a friend of mine) had a challenge at Soul Scrappers for a layout with a holiday theme. I thought I would jump in and participate.....here is my layout.
The challenge was to complete a double layout with a holiday theme using 5 or more photos. It also had to include 2 or more pieces of chipboard.
I have made a little pocket behind the photos to hold the brochure and my journalling.
I used the Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags collection and embellies that I purchased quite a while ago. The Thailand chipboard is by Scrap FX and the little chipboard tickets are by Simple Collections (I think.....) which I stamped with
Another layout for our holiday complete - yay!

Hope you all have a wonderful Australia Day!

Just a super quick post today (trying to write school reports).
Have you stopped over at Scrapbookit lately to see my latest post?
I have used some Graphic 45 to create a Christmas Layout and some Kaisercraft Twig and Berry to create an OTP project.

Here are some sneak peeks......
So, why not grab a cuppa and head on over there to see what I have been up to?
Until next time ~ happy scrapping,

Welcome to
Scrapbookit’s October Blog Hop

Thanks for joining our Design Team on our inspirational hop around to share this months challenge which Kerry and Janene have set for us all. You will have started the hop at Scrapbookit and have ended up here from Kerry's blog

It is so exciting for us all here at Scrapbookit to be hosting this blog hop but even more exciting for us to welcome our Guest Design Team Member Amanda Taylor. We always love seeing Amanda’s gorgeous creations and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team this month. Welcome Amanda!

Firstly, Kerry has set us a layout challenge. The challenge is to create a layout using patterned paper as your background but have lots of negative space, (scrapping in only a ¼ of your page), to use ribbon, and to have your journaling hidden. This month I was lucky enough to be able to work with the Graphic 45 collection The Nutcracker Sweet. It is such gorgeous paper but so busy and so not my normal style. However, an awesome challenge to keep me on my toes.

For this layout I chose not to use the Christmas sections of the paper but the gorgeous purples. Here is my take on the challenge…

Materials: Cardstock – Kaisercraft Vanilla, Graphic 45 – The Nutcracker Sweet, Organza, Twine, Thickers - Chipboard alpha, VersaMark Ink, embossing ink, embossing powder.

This photo was taken of my niece at her second birthday. We caught her trying to break into the lollies in the bag – our very own ‘sugar plum fairy.’ I have used my ribbon as flower embellishments and have hidden my journaling behind the postcard. Here is a close up of my journaling…

Now for Janene’s  gorgeous little card challenge. It fits perfectly with the purples from the Graphic 45 collection. The challenge is to create a card which has wings as your feature, (be it birds, butterflies, or angels, etc.)

Here is my card…

I have used again the Graphic 45 collection paired with the Vanilla Kaisercard. I have used my Cuttlebug to emboss the patterned paper and I have gathered my organza ribbon. I have used my iTop tool and brads to create a matching brad, added some gorgeous Kaisercraft bling and some Amy Tangerine ‘Lovely’ Foam Rubber Alpha Stickers. The main features of my card, the butterflies, were created using a Memory Box Die Cut. Isn’t the butterfly just gorgeous? All these items are available at the Scrapbookit Online Store.

Now to join in our blog hop fun we are running a little competition. Here is what you need to do:
* Visit each member’s blog (links are below) and be inspired by them.
* Look for the Blog Hop Question they have asked you.
* Leave a comment on their blog, letting them know you have stopped by.
* Follow their blog (if you don’t already).
* Hop back over to the Scrapbookit Blog and write your answer to each question in the comments section. (Comments will be hidden)

How easy is that? Now here is my question.

What is one Off the Page product and its price in the Scrapbookit Store?

Now to go into the draw for a chance to win this RAK from me you must complete all steps in the above instructions.  At the end of the month I will randomly draw a winner from the comments on my blog and they will win this gorgeous collection of goodies.

Hi Everyone,
As you will have read we have been extremely busy over the past few days.
Today I have a couple of little bits and pieces to share with you as well as an exciting event coming up at Scrapbookit.

First of all I wanted to share with you the wishing well I made for Victoria for her 2nd Birthday.
I have used the Kaisercraft Mini Wishing Well and some of the papers from the Tigerlilly collection. I used the Viva Decor Precious Metal Colour to paint the wishing well. Viva Decor is so easy to use and it literally dries in seconds. It makes doing those off the page projects a lot quicker!

The little quote on the front says
"When stars are born, they possess a gift or two,
One of those is, they have the power to make a wish come true.
We'll make a wish and do as dreamers do,
And all our wishes will come true"
which was taken from Disney Wishes. Quite appropriate for our little American!

Here is a look from the side...
I also have an engagement card to share today for my cousin who has just recently announced his engagement and whose party we attended on Saturday night.

Scrapbookit is having a Blog Hop on Saturday 13th October at 7pm.
Basically you head to the Scrapbookit Blog at that time where the blog hop will begin. There you will receive directions on how to go about participating in our Blog Hop. There will be heaps of inspiration from the Design Team and of course the opportunity to win some prizes along the way.

You may have noticed that on the right hand side of my blog I have a new widget called "Linky Followers" I would love it if you could become a follower of my blog by clicking 'Follow Me' and then following the onscreen directions.

Well, that is all I have for the moment.
Happy Scrapping,

Do you like this layout using Kaisercraft's Save the Date?
Why not pop over to Scrapbookit's online store by clicking this link store and grab yourself a complete kit with instructions??

On the 2nd July I was very lucky to be able to attend the Kaisercraft Retailers Day in Geelong with Jo from Scrapbookit.
Besides all of the yummy food that we were provided with we got to shop in the factory.....we got to chat to all of the designers and we did a couple of layouts with Mel Kennedy using the new collection Sears and Son. We had a ball.
Here are the layouts that I created.
These are great papers for all of those males in our lives.
I hope that all of the males in my life.....Jason, Dad, John and Dennis have a wonderful Father's Day on Sunday.
Happy Father's Day!

I'm back.....as promised
to share some more of the things that have been happening in my scrapbooking world...

Not so long ago I received an unexpected email from the editor of the Caravan and Motorhome On Tour Magazine. She asked me if I could be part of a craft feature in their magazine.
Initially, I was gobsmacked. I actually thought someone was playing a practical joke on me and were having me on. After showing Jason he convinced me that maybe I should take the email seriously and reply to it.....which I did!
No, it was no joke. I then provided the magazine with lots of images and information for them to put together the feature which featured caravaners and motorhome travellers that crafted whilst on the road.

This is the feature (sorry about the pic!)
I hear you asking.....how did they know to contact me????
I had submitted and had accepted me layout 'Loved' to CK. The editor of this magazine knew that I had created that layout in our caravan whilst on holiday....she passed my name on.
Funny how things happen!

Last month's challenge at Scrapbookit saw me creating with Kaisercraft's Check In collection.
I made several bits and pieces with this collection and I still have heaps left over.
I created this Bon Voyage card for the card challenge...
For the second part of the month I created some Tags....
I was very excited to be able to create some layouts from our Thailand trip using this collection. I love how they came up. The first layout is of one of our most favourite activities whilst in Thailand....Elephant Ride.
The second layout is of my very cheeky little man at the age of 4. His first overseas holiday (hopefully of many in his lifetime), which he took in his stride...these photos were of him entertaining us at Singapore Airport.
Well, I hope this inspires you to pull out some photos that are hidden away and scrap till your hearts content.
Until next time,

Hello!
It has been such a long time since I last posted...but I have been doing HEAPS of creating!
To make up for it I am going to try and share something that I have been doing everyday over the next week.....lets see how I go!

I might start with the weekend just gone...
SCRAPBOOKIT RETREAT 2012
The weekend just gone saw the first retreat for Joanne and Scrapbookit. It was such a wonderful weekend. We stayed at the High Country Motor Inn, Bright and had an absolute ball. Here are some happy snaps....
We got heaps of scrapping done and were treated to awesome food, great company and plenty of laughs and good fun.

I ran a class on Sunday morning at the retreat. It was a layout class which included a woven/thatched mat for the photo and used 'Save the Date' by Kaisercraft.
Here is the layout...
If you like this layout and are keen to give it a shot....Jo has some kits including instructions and the materials needed in store @ Scrapbookit - why not pop on over and grab one.

Jo ran an OTP class with the Kaisercraft Wishing Well....but I haven't completed mine yet.

Janene ran a mini album class using the Simple Stories 'Summer Fresh' range.
Here are Janene's photos....(I haven't taken any of mine yet)
We had an awesome weekend......looking forward to the next retreat in May 2013.
I did do a few of my own personal things at the retreat and was very impressed with what I produced....I will get back this week and share them with you.

If you haven't seen my latest post at Scrapbookit, why not pop over to the blog and spread some love. We love hearing your thoughts! Head to scrapbookitblog.blogspot.com

Can't wait to come back and share some more with you over the next few days....see you then.

Hello All,
School holidays have arrived and the biggest term is over! Thank goodness :0)
What a way to start my holidays.....a visit to the Kaisercraft Warehouse in Geelong for the Kaisercraft Retailers Day. Thanks Jo for inviting me........I had an awesome day.
There are some lovely new ranges coming out over the next little bit so make sure you keep your eyes open. Today, we got a sneak peak at the new goodies and all of the wonderful work the Design Team at Kaisercraft have done. We got to spend time shopping in the warehouse and then spent some time scrapping with Melissa Kennedy.
A wonderful day - I was in heaven all day.
